Everyone is welcome here! You don’t have to be a member or join the church to be welcome. You may come once, or you may come when you can. Everyone is welcome regardless of ability, gender, sexual orientation, history or church affiliation.
We know that it can sometimes be difficult to go to a church for the first time. Sometimes people have been to other churches, or have not been to church for some time but we want to assure you of our friendship and support as you take your first steps into this congregation or return to church after some time.

Lent is a time where we remember the ministry of Jesus and the days that led up to his arrest and death on the cross. In some churches, people give up things for the season of Lent in order to remember the sacrifices that Jesus made by living his life for God and for others. This Lent, we are doing something a bit different. Each week, we are going to invite you to a challenge, so that together we remember Jesus' ministry.
Lent Challenge 2
Our second challenge, which starts on the second Sunday of Lent, is to express gratitude to someone who you don't often thank in your life. It might be a stranger or someone you see regularly. Try to do this once a day. The other part of this challenge is to make a list every day of at least three things for which you feel grateful. You might list things you see in nature, things that happen through out your day or people you encounter, Try to make it different every day and be more specific than just saying "friends and family".
Lent Challenge 1
On the first Sunday in Lent, our second challenge starts. It is to do an act of generosity. We might drop a five-dollar bill on the street and let someone pick it up, or buy a coffee for someone behind you in the lineup at Tim Hortons, or donate to a charity online. Who knows what you will come up with? But this week, find some act of generosity that is outside of what you usually do.
