You Belong Here!
We are very blessed to have active Sunday Schools for children from age 3 to about 14 years. Sunday School returns on Sept 23, 2018 in both St. Paul's and Zion Calvin.
On Sundays children usually accompany their parents or family to church and we all worship together until the children are invited to go to Sunday School.
The Sunday School session will end about the same time as the service ends.
During Sunday School children can learn about and experience God in a variety of ways including story, prayer, crafts, service projects, drama and
participation in worship. We have two groups of children in our Sunday School, the younger children (age 3 -7) and then the older children (age 7 upwards).
When children first come to Sunday School parents / guardians will be asked to fill in a registration form for their children. All of our teachers are experienced and provide a warm, loving environment for the children.
Please contact Rev.Cathie for details of the programmes used and how you can support this vital work with our youngest members.

Community Ministry - St Matthews Maryland Christmas Store
Each December the Community Ministry at St. Matthews Maryland is transformed into Santa’s Workshop, filled with toys and other gifts for neighbourhood children, and, gifts that children can give to their caregivers. In many Christmas Hamper programs, parents do not get a choice about the gift that their children receive. At the Christmas Store, they set up a store, displaying toys, clothing and other items so that people can pick the gift that they see as best suited to their children. Another space is set up for children to browse and pick a gift for their caregivers. Santa’s helpers wrap and tag the gifts. For more information, see St Mathews Maryland Low-Cost Christmas Store
Duty of Care
In Pembina Parish Pastoral Charge we wish to maintain an environment where all people, especially children, youth, seniors, handicapped, and other vulnerable people are safe, well treated, well cared for, and properly supervised.
Please read our DUTY OF CARE Policy.
